You could try:

www.half.com,

www.ebay.com,

www.alibris.com

Or try Google for names of scientific booksellers.

matt- Amazon is one of the largest and most reputable online stores in the business. I buy from them all the time, with no problems. The page where you put your credit card information is encrypted, so you don't have to worry. (When you buy online, and have to give information, make sure that there is a little lock on the bottom of the screen)

No you're not limited to Amazon at all. They are probably the best place to begin, but the other places I listed are good also. Amazon would refer you to a dealer who is registered with them, but their dealer connections are sound and reliable.

When I said that Amazon would refer you to a dealer, I should have been a bit more specific. Amazon will give you the names of dealers who actually have the book in stock, but you place the actual order with Amazon who takes care of the accounting.
