What if God was actually an alien like in StarGate. A highly evolved being that came here to use our people as slaves and demanded to be worshipped as a god and had such advanced technology that the people back in that day thought he was actually a God?
I mean it would explain the cruelty and the unethics of the old testiment God.

I think it is a good possibility.

but where did he go?

one of the defining characteristics of a slave master is that they don't want to lose their slaves, considering God hasn't been audibly present in the last 2,000 years this is highly unlikely.

also

this concept is of a imperfect power hungy God, and so I personally reject it.

he could have been killed or jailed or simple ordered somewhere else by his supervisors.
the imperfect power hungry god is the old testiment god. Are you saying you reject the OT god? or my theory that he was just alien faking being a god?

I reject the OT God

and if God (OT, Stargate, or otherwise) does authorize Genocide, Rape, and Slavery from time to time then I proudly sin against him
