@STNGfan,
Vol. Have you seen that online, their actually is a huge following of the Jedi Religion. Not really all that differnt from christianity. Take The Jedi Doctrine (you an find it online) and replace the word Force, with God.

No I am not trying to change your views, But I do think you would get a kick out of it.

I know, that is why I said it. Self-delusion: making up a religion based on a Hollywood movie made in the mists of the 70s is real rational.

Taking an allegory of a religion and making it into a religion is par for the course.

Actually they had no economic system as we know it today and it was more like socialism than communism. In communism governement controls everything in socialism everyone gets equal pay or close to it.

In STNG there is not money but credits. Everyone gets everything they need. No one is hungry and no one lives in poverty whether they work or not. Capitalism was abandoned in the 22nd century after the atomic war.

There was no more mental illness or other sickness that caused people to not want to work for a living.

What you got rewarded with for responsibility and hard work was title and responsibility such as being promoted to a starship captian.

People did jobs that made them happy not because they were forced to because they had to make money to buy things.
