Looks like the artist is Caetano Veloso. Found that on the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) and searched under "Talk to her". They have the soundtrack listed there.

If you go to CD Universe (www.cduniverse.com), you'll find a number of recordings by him, including some with sound samples.
