Never heard of Popeyes but I can't stand KFC. I never eat it but apparently it's the new diet food.

I thought it was fast food. I guess it is fast food but...do you buy a popeye in the grocery store?
Haven't seen them up here yet, are they deep fried?

I think that Popeye's turkey is deep fried. Their fried chicken is the best, and their New Orleans style side dishes are great too (love that red beans & rice). There is a store locator on that website, one for the U.S. and another for outside the U.S.

The closest one to me is about 12 miles away on the other side of the bay, so a rather long ways, but doable on a weekend (traffic sux here).

I have a Popeye's about a mile down my street and I get their food now and then. The red beans and rice are better than the chicken! And PDiddie recently inspired me to try the mashed potatoes because the Cajun gravy is so good.

No breading on a fried turkey. That's the part that soaks up the fat on fried chicken... Another bonus to fried turkey: the skin is extra-crispy.
