Grandma got Runover by a Reindeer
12 Days of Guido Christmas (released by a radio station on the East Coast (US), I think.

On a serious note:
I'll be Home for Christmas
White Christmas

Thanks much, Walter, for the
interesting site for Christmas music
and other songs. It is great, and I
shall have to look thru it thoroughly
a bit later. I am still in the throes of
wrapping and packing wrapping and
wrapping. We are going to my
eldest daughter's home for Christmas
day....then back here and on to Atlantic
Beach to see my 2nd daughter's family.
Don't have a CLUE when I'll see my
baby daughter ( she's only 31 -she will
always be my baby )

Peggy Lee's "Rockin' around the Christmas Tree" for secular.

"Hark the Herald Angels Sing" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" for the real stuff.

be:
a) Harry Belafonte doing "A Star In the East"
b) Adeste Fidelas by The Three Tenors,
c) Cece Winans doing "Oh Holy Night"
d) Dolly Parton singing "A Hard Candy

I love my 'Christmas Island' CD by Jimmy Buffett - there's nothing like Christmas songs with steel drums!

Another favorite is 'So this is Christmas' by John Lennon. And from my old days :-) 'Merry Xmas Everybody' by Slade.

I've heard dozens of versions of this song, but nothing can beat (or make me cry) like the original. Which song is this? Watch the Movie "Meet Me In St. Louis" with Judy Garland (pre Wizard Of OZ). The movie itself goes thru the lives of one family right at the time of The World's Fair in St. Louis. At Christmas they are about to move from St. Louis and the youngest daughter isn't dealing well with it. Judy sits her down and sings "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". . . . . . I've seen this movie a hundred times and I cry my eyes out EVERY time I hear this song. The other versions are good, and I get nostalgic, but nothing does it for me like Judy garland's version! Smile
This year it's especially important to me since my husband just lost his job. In the movie Judy tells the little girl that everything will be O.K. in the year to come. . . . and I have to believe it too.

Hi dxndmon! Glad you like my choice! My brother lives in the US and loves Jimmy Buffet. That's how I got to know him. And yes, the same thing happened to me. Played the CD at a Christmas party at work last year...

I will have to play that CD today in the car when I'm going shopping. Oh, I can't wait!

I was watching CNN this moring and they had the guy that recorded "Grandma..." That song actually replaced "White Christmas", on the billboard reqest list! He also did another novelty, he co-wrote, about fruitcake. that was funny. Laughing
