Corvus Corax (yes, the common raven, quite a theme here!) is a band from Germany that attempts to reconstruct profane Medieval music.

Rapalje is the first Neo-Celtic European band I encountered. I have been their fan for about two years. Unfortunately, their recordings are not available in America and they do not tour here despite taking an occasional vacation in Maine!

They're energetic, sexy in an off-beat way and the fiddle player is terrific.

Rapalje is from the Netherlands. Who knew that the Dutch were secret Celts in their hearts? They certainly show a great love for Celtic music and some very skilled Dutch musicians are playing it.

OK, just one more today. This is not a new group. They've performed for more than 20 years and one of their founding members has passed . . . considering she was one of the Babes, she has probably already been re-incarnated.
