Big Boxes. Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club

It's called compulsive buying, Seal. I used to belong to Sam's Club. YUK!

Oh puhleez! I belong to both Sam's and Costco. There are a few items that I like to buy in bulk, like toilet paper and paper towels, and my husband likes a certain cake at Sam's. Also, I find that the vitamins are cheaper, and that you usually get a larger bottle of pills at Sam's for the same price that you can get a smaller size in Wal-Mart.

Beyond that, it is just another shopping "experience". I think that there is something about the large quantities and huge sizes that is very seductive to shoppers, including me. But you need to know what you are doing. I have found some stuff in both stores that you can get cheaper in a super market, and not be stuck with a whole load of it.

Its all about knowing your prices...I agree with Phoenix on the aspect of buying certain items in bulk but not others.

I used to belong to BJ's but, found that I spent so much it just wasnt worth it....at least for a single gal. Also, those items I could buy in bulk and save on I have no room for in the small apartment so, eh theres other ways to shop for bargains. I do however miss getting meats in bulk.

I always debate the wisdom of buying clothes... especially after. I mean, do I wear jumbo sizes? (Well, more often that I wish I had to, but no...)

In a brief spasm of patriotism, Mrs. SealPoet had me buy a flag from Costco. Well, it's a nice flag... but it's HUGE!
