Mrs. SealPoet and I head off to Costco about once a month to fill up on staple items.
These places sell things in huge amounts, so the prices are quite low.
What I want to know is, if the prices are so good, how come we spend so much there?

It's called compulsive buying, Seal. I used to belong to Sam's Club. YUK!
As an ex Costco member, I hear ya!!!
Its all about knowing your prices...I agree with Phoenix on the aspect of buying certain items in bulk but not others.
I used to belong to BJ's but, found that I spent so much it just wasnt worth it....at least for a single gal. Also, those items I could buy in bulk and save on I have no room for in the small apartment so, eh theres other ways to shop for bargains. I do however miss getting meats in bulk.
I always debate the wisdom of buying clothes... especially after. I mean, do I wear jumbo sizes? (Well, more often that I wish I had to, but no...)
In a brief spasm of patriotism, Mrs. SealPoet had me buy a flag from Costco. Well, it's a nice flag... but it's HUGE!
