Maybe it was Tom Cruise who first popularized this new entertainment phenomenon in the movie Risky Business. They recently held the World air guitar championships over in Europe somewheres. Vienna maybe. The winner was head over heals more superior than his competition this year. Very talented young man. Can't play any instrument, but, he can pretend like nobody's business. Its a faux personification. :shocked: I'm looking forward to the time when this new form of entertainment has its own category on the Grammy Awards and the American Music Awards. Also, I can't wait to see other up and coming air guitarists make their mark in this fascinating new genre. :shocked: Tomorrow, I'm going to practise air cabinetmaking. (show me sand the door). This goes to prove one thing. You do not have to spend the time and energy learning to play an instrument anymore. Do not let talent and dedication stand in your way. You can play the air guitar, and if you're good, you can make money at it. There is money to be made, in producing, "nothing". :shocked:By the way, classical air guitar probably is not going to get you anywhere. You'll have to play the rock air guitar.
@Elmud,
My mom wouldn't let me play the air guitar, "its so trashy!", but let me tell you the air oboe doesn't get anyone laid.
