Homeowners: Help Pick An Event Title

To keep this as simple as possible

I have a client that is implementing a unique consumer oriented campaign / event.

It has come to our attention that the title / tag line of the event may be causing some confusion and we are at the 11th hour, thus we must act FAST.

I need to know from you:

1) Which title are you more likely to remember.

2) Which title bears a closer resemblance to the event.

FYI: the event is virtual on-line kitchen decorators tour concentrated in a local metropolitan area with a public rating system to determine finalists and a final public vote for a winner.

The Titles Are:

Kitchens of Memphis

or

Memphis Kitchen-Idol

I first read "Kitchens of Memphis" as "Kittens of Memphis" -- your call whether that's good or bad. ;-)

The hyphen one is awkward.

A lot depends on who your target audience is. If your target audience is the young newlywed/new homeowner in their early 20's then go with the Memphis Kitchen-Idol title.

If your target audience is the more mature homeowner remodeling existing kitchens, then the Kitchens of Memphis title is more suitable.

I personally prefer the Kitchens of Memphis title if those are the only two choices. The Idol title makes it seem more like a spoof then a launch of a marketing campaign.

Since it is a contest that the public will be voting on, how about:

Memphis Kitchen Makeovers

I definitely don't like Kitchen-Idol. . . makes no sense. So the first is the lesser of two evils, I suppose. . . since it is the 11th hour, I'd say go with that.

And a quick "hi! :-O" to Seal :-)

well, for branding protection reasons, we decided to use the Kitchen-Idol version and added the tag-line

"Virtual Kitchen Tour Where Your Votes Count!"

I'm not exactly crazy over the tag-line, doesn't roll off the toungue for me... If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Thanks again for the input...

Allan
