Imagine General Motors creating one car for all car buyers like Ford did but unlike Ford had all the options built in. Ford only had one option and Black it is. What a Communist - one color fits all. How General Motors historically overtake Ford? It created different models for different segments of the car buying population as the wealthier people got more expensive options and they had a choice of colors not like the Communist Ford!
Now if General Motors created a car with all the options built in the customer must activate the options he chose. Can you imaginea car like that? It would be an ugly car for sure. That is what the current Income Tax Forms are like. Ugly. All the options are built in and the filer has to wade thru the options to fill out his/her tax form.
The Internal Revenue Agency should print out several models of tax forms or tax payers eg Single , Single with dependents, Single with assets, Married without dependents, Married with dependents, Married with dependents and assets, Single with business, Married with business and so on.
The Internal Revenue Agency should be eliminated and replaced with The FairTax plan.
@H2O MAN,
I can't say if it will improve the situation but the problem lies in the definition of "fair". If we can all agree then we should go for it otherwise it will lead to another round of arguments.
@talk72000,
Yes, indeed. And GM should make a car for people who drive in dry climates. Save the cost of windshield wipers and washers. Daylight driving? Okay, no headlights. Some people won't drive above 40mph on the interstate. Motor with more than two cylinders is wasted on them. Same for front and rear windshield defrosters and heaters for those the live in the deep south.
@roger,
If there is a market for them.
Having 'one Tax Form suits all' is a Communist ideal no wonder everyone hates it!
