@tsarstepan,
So what if you joined Al's religion?

It didn't really seem like any of the people associated with him (or him for that matter) ever had any fun.

Oh sure, there were the sex rituals and all that, but c'mon. After awhile it would be like, "You know, I'm just not in the mood. Why can't we all just go out to the movies, or maybe roller skating?"

I just can't see anyone cracking a joke, or saying "Hey, look at this cute sundress I bought!" or "Let go out for some Thai food, huh?"

Speaking of goats, aleister made his wife have sex with one.

Now, who would go along with something like that?

Nutty people, that's who.

@Rockhead,
Shocked

brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, "this blows a dead goat"

not sure why people i know say that, perhaps they're satanists

What do these people who start these religions do to make a living?

I guess if you lucked out and found one rich guy that liked to **** goats to join up, you'd do okay.

But, what are the odds you'd run across something like that right off the bat?

You'd have to get a job as an auto mechanic at a shop that specialized in expense foreign cars or something, and start to network with the customers.

Do the actual owners of the cars bring them in though?
Probably not.

You could say to the butler or chauffer or whatever, "Have your boss call me if he's interested in joining my religion. We have lots of sex and do drugs. We don't take baths often either!"

I'm not familiar with Alistair Crowley so forgive my simple question of the validity of this tale:
Proven fact or urban legend?

If its true then perhaps drugs or alcohol or certain violent sense of persuasion might be part of the wife/goat sex incident, non?

1. True, many start up this cult following out of greed.
2. Others are delusional and believe their own spiritual nonsense they vomit out of their mouths everyday.
3. Some are charismatic egomaniacs who need to feast on the power that only unquestioning zombies/followers can give them.
4. All of the above.
