@Dutchy,
The Quiet Man (1952)

For my money, the finest movie John Wayne was ever in. He's cast totally against type as a former Irish-American prize-fighter (a John L. Sullivan type) who returns to the Auld Sod in retirement and falls in love with the local spitfire, Maureen O'Hara. Barry Fitzgerald is absolutelydelightful in a supporting role, with a brogue you could cut with a butter-knife. It was a sleeper. Nobody except me liked it.
