Dys has the right answer. As long as the amount in numbers is the same as the written in amount match, banks will cash anything. Anything! After all, they have recourse to your account is anything goes wrong.
One point. Before you deposit an oddity like this, do make sure that your customer intended the check for you, not someone else with a similar name. The amount should match your invoice, and if the customer has any kind of A/P system at all, your invoice # will be cited in the memo field.
Here's a little business tip. Commercial checking accounts are not often worth the effort for a small business, but you do need to keep business affairs separate from personal. Go to your bank and tell them you want to open a DBA account. That stands for Doing Business As. It's actually a personal account, so doesn't follow the rules of a commercial account. It's also nice to pay your own vendors with a check with a business name. Just looks more professional.
