Elvis' version of 'Le Temps des Cerises'? urgent for funeral, please help if you can!

'Le temps des Cerises' is a very old French classic (written in the 1860s by Antoine Renard). Here is Nana Mouskouri doing an acapella version -

Elvis recorded using this music (more or less), I think it was like 'Love Me Tender' in that it was just his voice and an acoustic guitar - though I might be remembering wrong. Might have sung it in a film, also not sure.
I don't think the words were a translation from the French, but rather new words entirely. I'm very much hoping some Elvis fan out there could listen to the French version and tell me the title of Elvis's version. The first 4 or 5 bars are VERY distinctive and might be enough to nail it. My French friend is burying her daughter on Wednesday and has just discovered she loved this song, but can't find it in her daughter's collection. I'm all search-engined out trying to find it for her, but without at least a line, or the title, I've had no success. Many, many thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I am putting these two songs side by side to more easily compare them.

@edgarblythe,
Even though I know very well "Le temps des cerises" (Cherry times), I could not find any version by Elvis.

Btw, this song was written by Jean-Baptiste Clément, music by Antoine Renard.

Thank you so much for some prompt replies! Sadly, no, 'And I love you so', isn't a match. I wrote 'written by Renard' because I am fairly sure that Clement's lyrics (added some years after Renard wrote the music) weren't what was translated.
Keep at it everyone. You're going to make a very sad French mum a bit happier if you can find this for her. I am still looking too...

Apparently, the song starts with a piano, I've just been told.

Is it supposed to be the exact same song with different words, or one that just reminds one of it?

@edgarblythe,
It's more or less -or at least is based on- the same tune with different English words. So not this. How do you embed the you tube links?
