They should find a way to make that a permanent and visible installation.

hey, how 'bout the sawx?
nine-game win streak... they swept NYY and BALT in back-to-back four-game series...
5 1/2 game lead in the tough AL east... magic number = 2 to clinch a playoff berth,
and 4 to clinch the division...
gonna miss Papi next year... he's putting up ridiculous numbers in his farewell season --
37 HR, 124 RBI, .319 BA, 1.040 OPS, 47 doubles... you just don't do that when you're
40 years old, but he's playing free and easy...
in addition to the 11-game win streak, they also set a major league record yesterday
for most consecutive strikeouts, breaking Tom Seaver's 46-year old record (10)...

Quote:
Starting with Luke Maile’s strikeout for the second out of the fourth inning and concluding with
Richie Shaffer’s strikeout to end the seventh, Rays batters struck out in 11 consecutive plate
appearances — the first six against starter Eduardo Rodriguez, the next five by Heath Hembree.
That was a major-league record, set by Tom Seaver all by himself for the Mets against the Padres
back in April 1970.
dombrowski took a look at his lineup and decided he has a solid core of good young players, so why hold on to good prospects
that are stuck in the minors bcos they can't find a spot on the big club...
