Phobias in women over 30s

I wouldn't call getting older a phobia but, it's not a happy thought either. Not for me. I wish I could embrace it, welcome it, at least be at peace about it but sometimes when I look into a mirror or realize my actual age, it's startling. Part of it is pure vanity, part a fear of death, but it saddens me.

I would say that's true of men too. Women may be more likely to get some botox, but men will go out and buy a sports car. Same thing, different expression.

A phobia is an irrational fear.

There is nothing irrational about a fear of getting older. Many of us will die of old age-- and it creeps up on you day by day, there is nothing you can do about it.
