I heard this song called "Just Jane". One line in the song goes.. "When you find someone special, don't let them slip away.."
When I heard this song, I just needed to have it.
Do you know who the artist is of that song?
Is this what you're looking for? If not, I'll need a few more of the lyrics.
Sammy Hagar Lyrics - Plain Jane
Artist: Sammy Hagar Lyrics
Title: Plain Jane
She falls somewhere in-between
Levi's and Vogue Magazine
She doesn't paint on her face
But what she does she does with taste.
And you can call her Plain Jane
But she's drivin' me insane
Plain Jane - Oh yeah, you're drivin' me insane.
Plain Jane - Oh, let me love you baby, yeah!
She kisses with her lips so tight.
Ooh, it hit's me just like dynamite.
Her sweet, simple innocence
Makes everyone else seem like past tense
And you can call her Plain Jane
But she's drivin' me insane.
Plain Jane - Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're drivin' me insane, oh!
Plain Jane - Heave-ho, oh, let me love you, love you, love you, love you,
love you, love you
Takes a special kind of man.
To love and understand
My Plain Jane.
My Plain Jane - Talkin' 'bout my baby.
My Plain Jane - Oh yea.
Plain Jane - Uh-huh, my
Plain Jane - Ain't no body else no.
Plain Jane - Tellin' you you're drivin me insane.
Her smile comes on insecure.
But her eyes, they let you know for sure.
Oh, you gotta look hard and deep.
Her kind of lovein', it don't come cheap, no.
And you can call her Plain Jane
But she's drivin' me insane.
My Plain Jane - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're drivin' me insane. Ow!
Plain Jane - I just, what's so bad? I wanna love you, love you, love you,
love you, love you, love you
Plain Jane - Ow! I'm talkin' 'bout my
Plain Jane - Yeah, yeah, she's my baby.
Plain Jane - See her walkin' down the street, and I just wanna love you.
My Plain Jane - Come here baby.
Plain Jane - Now, come here baby.
Plain Jane - There ain't nobody else, no, and I'm gonna love you, love you,
love you, love you, love you, love you
Plain Jane - Ow!
Plain Jane - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...

"To the world she might be just jane, but because of her I've changed"
and i am pretty sure that the song is called just jane
Take a look at the other thread you posted in. You gave some new information, that it was from the DeGrassi television show. I posted a link to the official behind the scenes website for the show. You might be able to find what you're looking for there.

Just Jane
Performed by Christopher Rouse
Written by Laura Torno, Kurt Hagan, and Carl Torno

It was an average day normal in every way until, until the sun broke through. It wasn't in the sky no, light came from her eyes she turned, turned the grey sky blue. On a cold September morning, I saw her in the rain. To me she was the moon and stars the world, but she seemed confused, I saw she wasn't sure, my smile was meant for her. I said I can't help but notice you. And when you find that someone special. You don't let them slip away. So tell what your name is, she answered by saying Just Jane. Oh she's everything to me, she's Just Jane. She's all I'll ever need. She gives me more then she takes and she takes my breath away. Oh yeah and the words I should always be Just Jane, but because of her my world has changed, oh I love her, changed, oh I love her she's Just Jane...
I don't know how accurate these lyrics are but as far as i could tell this is what was being sung...
Ninjando
Great job, Ninjando. Where did you finally end up locating the song?
how'd I do it?

Well this will no doubt take all the magic out of it? It would be cool if I could say i used my Ninja prowess and skills to aquire the information, but the truth is... I happend to have the episode of the television show that the song was in on tape so I listened to it over and over again and then copied the lyrics and the info in the credits as best as I could. Ironically enough I happend to hear the song and was thought it was really cool and when i noticed a few people from another site were wondering about it, and then found the 2 posts here I figured what the heck people will appreciate it...
Ninjando
I just knew it had to be a leak from an insider informant!
Nice work and very much appreciated.

you are most welcome..
So I'm just curious do you watch the show?

or did you hear of the song somewhere else?
where to find the song "JUST JANE"
I've got a better question: where can we buy the song on cd? I've searched the whole internet but Christopher Rouse keeps coming up as a classical composer.
I'd like to get the song on cd. I heard it on Degrassi & I knew I'd have to have it.
Hi Ninjando,
I don't watch much TV at all. Several people have been asking about the song so I just put in some effort to try and find it but struck out each time. How does the show compare to something like Boston Public?
DeGrassi Fan, welcome to A2K. From everything I've seen in my search for the lyrics, the song just isn't out there other then in the one episode it appeared.

degrassi fan thus far there is no way to purchase the song it must be owned by the people who own the show so it'd be up to them to release it onto an album of somekind, so you must dig the show with a name like that? I got hooked on it by accident this past summer.
Just Jane - Christopher Rouse
Here are the lyrics to the whole song.
It was an average day, dull in every way
Until, until the sun broke through.
It wasn't in the sky, no
The light came from her eyes
She turned, turned the grey sky blue.
On that cold September morning
I saw her in the rain.
To me she was the moon and stars the world
She was
Just Jane.
But she's everything to me, she is just Jane.
And she's all I'll ever need.
She gives more than she takes
And she takes my breath away.
Yeah in the words I should always be just Jane
But because of her, my world has changed
Oh yeah
I tried to catch her eyes
As she was walkinhg by first
At first she seemed confused
I saw she wasn't sure, my smile was meant for her.
I said I can't help but notice you.
And when you find that someone special.
You don't let them slip away.
So tell me what your name is, she answered by saying
Just Jane.
But she's everything to me, she is just Jane.
And she's all I'll ever need.
She gives more than she takes
And she takes my breath away.
Oh yeah in the words I should always be just Jane
But because of her, my world has changed
Oh
Oh she might seem ordinary
But she was hard to find
One main thing really impresses us is her love
And her love's just mine, just mine
She is just Jane.
But she's everything to me
She is just Jane.
And she's all I'll ever need.
She gives more than she takes
And she takes my breath away.
In the words I should always be just Jane
Because of her, my world has changed, oh changed
She is just Jane, she is just Jane
She is just Jane
I love this song too.
If it helps, the song is on the Songs From Degrassi: Next Generation CD. Track #8.
