I tried to dabble with a windows media center machine but didnt work out for me. I really like to dabble into those custom home alarm and sound activated heater,ac, and electronics one day.

@Droid Motorola,
one of my last supervisors was kind of a loner (read: loser) and so he spent his time and money on STUFF because he didnt have any ONE to spend it on. but he had a fingerprint scanner for his front door that acted as a lock. he could program it for certain people, times, etc.

seems cool, until it breaks and you cant get into your house anymore.

@saintlewi,
I would like to see a full HDTV with an internet browser and wifi built in so I can surf the web on the screen without a PC. Is it out yet?

@The Chief,
Ok, here ya go. A 152" 4K HDTV (4K means double the resolution of 1080p...I did not know that). Boo-fricking-ya!

Or, if you're ready, 3D television is coming into the home:

@YankeeDudeL,
Until they can create 3D images that don't require glasses, I think it will be relegated to the niche market i.e. gamers and such. Nobody is going to want to watch Fox News 3D or something with weird glasses on the whole time... I know I'm not interested.

@The Chief,
I agree. No matter how neat 3D in the home might be, I'm not ready to wear glasses to enjoy the effect.

@linmk2,
After seeing Avatar 3D, I don't know how I'm supposed to ever watch a 2D movie again. I'm sure whater device would be similar to HDTV, with separate channels for viewing. And wearing the glasses ain't bad. Have any of you had to wear BC glasses? Hideous.
