so, it was suggested i might try my hand at a valentine day mix, now my idea of a love song and your idea of a love song are probably two different things, that being said, here's the mix

03 Whistling Gypsy - The Clancy Brothers (a traditional Irish love song)
04 Nothing Matters When We're Dancing - The Magnetic Fields (come on, a love song that contains the lines, Be we in Paris or in Lansing, nothing matters when we're dancing , you got to have it)
05 Such Great Heights - Iron & Wine (cool cover of a Postal Service song)
06 While I've Got It On My Mind - Johnny Cash (was there a greater love than Johnny & June)
07 Prettiest Eyes - The Beautiful South (one of my favourite songs about enduring love)
08 Sweet Bride - Kate Rusby (a sweet song from the British TV series Jam & Jerusalem)
09 So In Love - Dinah Washington (hey, it's Cole Porter)
10 The Letter - The Box Tops (classic love song in my humble opinion)
11 I Think She Likes Me - Treat Her Right (is it a love song, sure why not)
12 Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again) - Kris Kristofferson (Kris knew a thing or two about love)

14 Parallel Bars - Robbie Fulks (sometimes love ain't easy)
15 Joan Jett Of Arc - Clem Snide (again, when a song contains lines like, and it was all you can eat at the Sizzler that night, my steak burnin' Joan Jett of Arc, what's not to like)
16 Another First Kiss - Brett Kull (cover of a They Might Be Giants tune)
17 My Favourite Song - Dan Potthast (great song, really it is)
18 (We're Not) The Jet Set - John Prine & Iris Dement (love has no class distinction)
19 There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - The Smiths (And if a double decker bus, crashes into us, to die by your side, is such a heavenly way to die)
20 You And The Candles - Hawksley Workman (a love song for the road, the movie, not the Hope/Crosby ones, the apocalypse one, but it's a really good tune, really)
