This is largely because envirowhacks haven't let America drill oil for the last forty years. People are now dying because of this.

LOL so drill baby drill in US and or US control territories would have amount to enough oil supply in the world wide schemes of things to matter one way or another?

Second, there is more ability now to pump oil out of the ground then the existing worldwide demand for oil by a far margin and there is zero need to add corn provided alcoholic to gasoline for energy reasons.

In fact, it is at the very best a break-even proposition in regard to energy and the only thing it is providing are fat pay checks to corn farmers.

Now oil from oil sands in Canada are coming more on line big time and that might just alone keep prices/supply in line in the future let alone if we would start tapping oil from oil shale in our own country.

So if people are going hungry it is for the good reason of getting Midwestern congresspersons re-elected and have nothing to do us not drilling everywhere we could in the last fifty years.
