Merry Andrew you share your birthday with...
Evan Bayh (54) [Senator?]
Ozzie Smith (I) (55)
Phil Spector (70), wife murderer
Steve Allen

David Sedaris (53)?! He's that old?! I thought he would be at least 10 years younger! Now that's cool company MA!

So are you going to tell us what you had for breakfast, or what?
This surely can't be the end of the birthday report! Smile

OK, msolga. We went to a local very good dining room called the Kilauea Lodge where the chef is German-born and where some of his dinner specials are to die for. Possibly the finest ossobuco I've ever had anywhere and a hasenpfeffer of the Cordon Bleu quality.

Anyway, Sglass had (if I remember correctly) some sort of exotic omelette. I had what is listed on the menu as "Chief Ranger." This is a scrambled egg concoction containing just about everything but the kitchen sink (although the waitress assured me that sometimes they put in the kitchen sink, too). And Seaglass -- bless her -- had a word with the hostess while I was in the loo and when I came out and sat down the whole staff of waitresses surrounded the table and sang a very spirited version of "Happy Birthday" to me.

I'm still in mild shock.

@Merry Andrew,
Ah! An answer at last, Andrew! I really wanted to know!

Now that sounds like a very classy breakfast! A perfect start to a birthday!

A birthday serenade from the entire waitressing staff! Now that is what I'd call an honor! Very Happy

@tsarstepan,
I think that of all the guys you have listed there, the one that MA would really relate to is Steve Allen.

@Sglass,
Steve Allen, in his day, was one of my heros. Versatile. Clever. Etc. I never knew we shared a birthday.

I have a lot of respect for David Sedaris, too.
