I went with pie-ko. Gautam's has always made me wonder. Didn't know about sozo-bee. I don't think anyone would have any trouble with mine!

Y'know I guess I never really looked properly at Pyko's name because I immediately had you as pee-yoko. Having really looked at the spelling I would call you Pie-ko.
I prounouce Gautam similar to gotham (as in the city of Gotham, batman etc.)
Sozobe I imagine as Soz-Oh-bee

mmm i went for Pyko as Pie-ko as well - cos of the way that y is usually used in English - is it different then?

and Niamh is an Irish name pronounced Neeve so i always read it as that
- but maybe yours isn't? I thought Mrs Frisby and the rats of NIMH was a great book - i didn't see the film in case it had been Disneyfied and made cute so it could of course come from that.

I'm with 'pie - ko' too, but to be fair, that'd be with an Aussie accent, so it'd become 'poi - ko', to non Aussies.
Guatam would be 'Gwa - tahm' - as in Guatamala and Guam....

Vivien, "neeve" - thats an interesting pronounciation! I kinda like it.
I first heard about "the rats of NIMH" thanks to TerryDoo's quips about it when the abbreviation "nimh" first came up for my original Abuzz moniker "no-itsme, habibi" - and the reference added to its charm ;-)
