@MyLady,
hi, It's kinda hard cause you can't find a good way for getting movies from hulu so easily. And this is because the common ways for downloading movies or videos don't work with hulu. Hulu is a streamed movie online and there are encrypted files which can be downloaded with a software like let's say youtube downloader. The encrypted files can be just captured, with a special screencapture software which saves the video stream directly on your pc while watching it

Hey, that seems very interesting. Of course, I tried once to record a shows from hulu, but didn't managed and finally gave up. So, the encrypted files can't be downloaded, or what?
I also found some kind of software which, they say, capture hulu, but I couldn't managed either. So, if anyone has some suggestion I'm very open to it cause I really would like to have my fav tv shows on my pc...

This looks an awful lot like Q&A spam, where another account will come along with the suggested answer (which is pointless by the way, it will just be deleted and all your work wasted). But just in case it isn't, you can search for "download hulu" and find lots of different (mostly commercial) programs to automate it.

But most of the time these programs do what you can already do for free. I can't see Hulu from outside the US but if they are like most flash video they'll often pass in a variable to the flash player that contains the url to the flv. Then you can just point your browser at the url and download it. You'd need flv codecs (available for free) to play them in Windows Media Player, or another program to convert them.

@Robert Gentel,
For recording hulu the free software don't work, at least the ones I've already tried, because hulu's files are not flash videos, but rtmp-e, files protected by adobe, and those files cannot be recorded as an usual flash video with some sort of youtube downloaders or even with firefox extensions. I tried all of this free methods and didn't managed to record not even one movie or show, only adds. So, as that guy said those files can be captured and there are some special software which capture video streaming. Anyway, it's an interesting thread, even you said it's not, some of us really are searching for a good way to stream hulu's movies....Smile

@Rideout,
Anything that you can see or hear on your computer you can record, by capturing the output that you are seeing or hearing* so it's certainly possible, just not convenient.

* e.g. you can use a video capture USB dongle on another computer and send the output from hulu from one computer to the video capture but this isn't very convenient.

@Robert Gentel,
Well, this could be a way, but for that you need to have 2 computers and it's kinda hard to capture movies from streaming online sites every time I want a movie.
I think it'd be much easier to have a soft which can record video streams as I saw that there are many of them on the market, didn't find one yet, but I prefer to have just a soft which both captures videos streaming and converts movies to avi.

There are many solutions to record hulu shows, it's known that you cannot download them with YouTube Downloader, because of its encrypted files, but I assure you that there are software which can do both actions: can be used as a hulu downloader, but also as a converter. You should keep searching, because I have already gave a solution but it was deleted, I was considered a spam, it seems.
Anyway, I was in the same position as you, I wanted to capture video streamings from hulu and finally found one, if you want, you can pm me.

Hello guys, thank you very much for trying to help me, it is very hard to record shows or movies from hulu, trust me. I have searched a lot for a good method and of course I found as many ways as I could, tried many of them, some worked, some not. I tried Hulu Downloader, for example, of course I was expected to download movies from hulu, right? As its name says it can. No, at least for me didn't worked, it didn't capture not only 1 sec of movies, but adds. Also tried replay media catcher, seemed to work, but when the download process was over and tried to play the recorded movie, there was nothing to play, I didn't find the movie it downloaded, did a search but nothing. Also tried hulu grabber, but doesn't record rtmp-e files, just flash video, tunebite, captured just 1 min recording, because I got its demo version, but still this one captured something, one min from the movie. At least this one captured something, unlike the others which didn't record anything but adds. Also tried again with mozilla add-ons, those ones download just flash video again.
Pfffff!!!!!!!!!!
Sad Thank you again, guys...
