Why is it called that?
When hit, its not funny. Maybe for those watching. It surely doesn't feel good. Anyone know where this come from?
(and if you're wondering where this thought came from, I totally just fell over my dog and hit my funny bone on the bar)
there is a bone in your arm called the humerus. (sp) thats where it (funny bone) comes from.
@dadpad,
well thats the lamest reason ever. I mean i understand where the name comes from now, but I was kind of hoping for something with a bit of a story if you know what I mean.
Besides the humerous hurting when it is hit,..you must admit,..it is a funny (wierd) feeling, compared to the standard bumping of a bone. (Clarify: bumping of bone: knee, head, foot,...)
