The Weekend's Coming

I get extremely ambitious in my head during the week about what I'll do over the weekend. There's the ususal-- laundry, food shopping for the week ahead, odds and ends (that end up taking a lot of time), a little (note the word little)cleaning, swimming, some yoga, cooking etc. Once those errands and chores are done I'm ready to read a good book and fall asleep while reading. Joy! So I guess my big plans really come down to getting prepared to plan to do nothing.

What are you planning to do?

Well, I agreed to sew some things for my grandkids, so I'll be doing that. We're also still renovating, so I'll be looking meeting with contractors, etc. There's an evening outfit (rather fancy) that I am interested in, so I might pop over to that store. Sunday I'll be at the Stampeder-Eskimo football game with a friend. Nothing much, really. Kinda laid back kinda weekend.

@Gala,
This is a big game weekend in the SEC. So - I will be setting up the table for snackage and watching football.

My boys wrote a script for a mini movie yesterday when they were off for Veteran's day...so it looks like we may be shooting a short for our entertainment as well. Wink It has something to do with zombies.

You will manage to do more social events in one weekend than I do in one year.

It's a big game weekend for the Securities and Exchange Commission? The snacking and watching part sounds good.

Zombies!

@Gala,
heh heh - no, I wouldn't be watching that...much less taking the time to pull out snacks for it. Watching Securities and Exchange Comission sounds like a sleeper. No, Southeastern Football is having a big Saturday (American - College) and I have a bet going on for one of them Wink

Yeah...little zombies. Should be interesting. Halloween coming back for a second swipe and caught on video for their entertainment.

I'm on holidays for three months (with full pay) so I've done one weekend gig for $1000, started organizing all my music gear, bought more music gear, sold some music gear, installed programmable thermostats for zone heating in the house, installed some photocells for outdoor lights, updated my website, walked the dog around the lake, visited friends, jammed with other musicians, tried to avoid the wife when she gets all pestering and annoying, practiced guitar and singing, read a lot of music gear manuals...

@mismi,
Think about it-- the SEC is what got us into this mess with B. Madoff and his Ponzi scheme. I don't think it'll be a sleeper at all.

Little zombies, now that's cute. Adult zombies, I know a few, not so cute...

Three months, full pay, more power to you.

This sounds so Ratzenhoferish, George - I like it!

Weekend? I painted some cabinets last weekend and it took me longer than
I anticipated. Everything else was left behind and needs to be done this
weekend. Plus we'll have an overnight house guest from Friday to Saturday.
The kid goes to language school on Saturday and by the time we're home
there is not much left of Saturday. Sunday will be a day of leisure - that's for
sure!

@Gala,
Having a sleepover (well not me, my daughter) with a ten year - tonight and going out for a birthday dinner with the family and friend. Hosting my daughter's birthday party - lots of crap to pick up tomorrow morning and then setting up for the party.

Also, go out and purchase two shoe boxes full of Christmas goodies and whatever presents I can find that will fit for donation overseas. Help with homework and reading and I think I'll watch Amazing Race on Sunday night.
