Radio Ga Ga
Words and music by Roger Taylor

Radio I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And ev'rything I had to know
I heard it on my radio

You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds - invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh - you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly
Radio

So don't become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don't know or just don't care
And just complain when you're not there
You had your time you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio

All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Radio someone still loves you

We watch the shows - we watch the stars
On videos for hours and hours
We hardly need to use our ears
How music changes through the years

Let's hope you never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around cos we might miss you
When we grow tired of all this visual
You had your time you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio

All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio goo goo ... .
Radio ga ga
All we hear is Radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio what's new?
Someone still loves you

You had your time you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio

Okay, if I'm alone in the car I'll listen to an all news station (or, in the a.m. Imus). With hubby, or if I'm not in the mood for too much news, it's an oldies station (they don't make them like they used to).

P.S. I don't listen to the radio in the house at all -- the tv's always on.

If theres a Bruins game on..well then, most likely Im listening to that...or checking in on it at least! Mornings I usually listen to a Rock Station that combines morning talk with less music, and I also burn my own cds for longer rides.

At work, I have www.spinner.com, and listen to Love Songs, or Oldies ... sometimes New Age.

If I get tired of commercials in the car, I play CD's, but mostly oldie stations.

At home, I rarely listen to music. The TV is on for background noise or if I want to take a nap, because TV is the best tranquillizer in the world:)

Mostly I listen to NPR on the radio. I love Diane Reem's and Prairie Home Companion and on Saturday nights I always listen to Lone Star Saturday night. When I was in D.C. on Sundays NPR had Blue Grass in the mornings and I miss that show. When I was in Oakland NPR had a show at 9:00 a.m. on Saturdays hosted by one of the Free Speech Movement leaders very progressive to say the least. I love that NPR has shows that are of regional interest and shows that are broader based.

JD: Have you tried tuning in your favorite stations from the computer radio downloads?

I'm sure you would find them on there.

Busted, I do not have my speakers connected and when they were connected I kept them off most of the time. Don't ask why I guess I just rely on the radio for my radio.

I listen to NPR in the car. We don't have any decent local radio stations. When I am on line I'm either hunting for new stuff or listening to

Joanne, I don't use my speakers either. Turned them off long, long ago and only turn them on when I know I'm supposed to hear something. I found them annoying and they scared the dog (when some noise suddenly came out). I have the tv on when I'm on the computer anyway and I don't need even more noise in the room.

Oh my goddess, cannot believe I left out rock, sheesh. I tried to be so careful and I am one of those sex, drugs & rock & roll forever types. I am just have a hard time all the way around tonight. Can't remember stuff I know, having trouble reading, and typing. Must be having my Monday on Sunday.

Bandy your reasons for not using speakers are exactly the same as mine. I can't take all the clever sound effects on some web sites.

Hi, Joanne...

I listen to the progressive and alternative rock stations. Also, like the blues.

Well, I don't watch tv so much, at least one radio is always on at home: regional (public) in the kitchen and sleeping room (and car as well), oldie in the sitting room. My choice on pc varies from any oldie broadcast to (traditional) jazz.

You mean really "my ham", bandylu? Very Happy

Honestly, Westphalian ham is okay, unless it is produced in "factories".
