Hi! I'm new to this forum, and came across it looking for information on Native American music(primarily instruments) and how they are used in the religion and their rituals/ceremonies. I found a little information on the drum, but not much else on the flutes or rattles etc. If anyone has any help that would be wonderful.
Thanks Phoenix!

It's for a paper for my History of Religion class and I'm having a heck of a time finding anything!
Thanks a lot Phoenix, I've been meaning to go to my public library.. Thing is I got a fine and no money to pay it!

I might go down there later today though, make copies of pages and such. Thanks again!
It's my impression that drums and rattles were ceremonial/magical, but native flutes were more personal objects and were more for personal entertainment and courting than for ritual.

Interesting question. I'll go look now to see what I can find. Until later . . .
