Sardines on toast is good, and the aromas of the toasting fishlets will haunt your house for weeks.

To say "all Americans" is a gross generalization bordering! I can't stand fish in a tin. But out of the ocean is another matter.

So does that mean you have to confine yourself to beaver, moose, salmon and pine needles?

Even Canadians should benefit from natures bounty in fullest measure.

I did my stuffed peppers again last night, this time with tomato puree instead of chopped tomatoes, and tinned mackerel instead of tuna and sardines mixed.

It was good, but I left in in the oven too long. 30 minutes at 180 deg would have been plenty.
