Well, when someone is still in their senior year of high school, what month would be the best to send in the applications? When to the replies come back to us? And if someone gets a scholarship for basketball, do they have to continue playing in their first year of college?

Jello - don't you have HS counselors that can gulde you in this area?

Applications are usually begun at the beginning of the senior year. The colleges will want to see your transcript and they can get a good idea from that VERY important junior year.

Your coach should also be putting you in contact with colleges that may be interested in offering baskeball scholarships.

I imagine the due date should have a big part to play in that decision. Different schools have different due dates.
