I am looking for an 80's rock song that I had played in a band back in the middle 80's . I don't remember the name of the song or the artist but I do have a cassette copy of my band doing the song . One of the lines in the song that seems to repeat is " I'm addicted baby , its plain to see . Your love , has got a hold on me .
Louisiana's LeRoux (a/k/a LeRoux) is a pop band founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana that saw its heyday from 1978-1983. Their biggest hits were "Take a Ride On a Riverboat" with its 4-part a capella intro, the regional smash "New Orleans Ladies", "Nobody Said It Was Easy (Lookin' For the Lights)" (their highest charting single), "Addicted", and "Carrie's Gone". Their music, though pop-oriented, combined many elements such as funk, R&B, Dixieland jazz, rock, and some Cajun-flavoring, thus defying a pigeonhole into one definable category like many other diverse Louisiana artists, common to an area known for its many musical influences and tastes. The band continues to perform live throughout the U.S. including a handful of shows at fairs and festivals back home in Louisiana in 2008 and 2009.
Leroux Louisiana's - Addicted
I'm addicted baby
It's plain to see
Your love's
Got a hold on me
I'm addicted baby
It's a natural fact
No drug
Ever do me like that
You come on like an angel
So cool and discreet
You move through the crowd
Boys falling at your feet
You start swaying to the music
And you're looking so right
Oh, I want you forever
Starting tonight
I'm addicted baby
It's plain to see
Your love's
Got a hold on me
I'm addicted baby
It's a natural fact
No drug
Ever do me like that
No one has ever moved me
Exactly like you do
My sweet woman-child
There's nobody like you
When you do me what you do me
The fever starts to burn
You've got the power
For your love I yearn
I'm addicted baby
It's plain to see
Your love's
Got a hold on me
I'm addicted baby
It's a natural fact
No drug
Ever do me like that
