The Wash. Post reports some very damning information about Walpin that would seem to support his immediate removal.

I'm saying that it appears Obama broke the rules when he fired
the man and to cover his ass he and the press attacked the man.

He was considered incompetent. He didn't get along with members of the board. He went off the deep end during a meeting. He insisted on working from home, which was unacceptable, because, he said, after many years he was tired of commuting. He failed to follow procedures.
