Edgar, I wouldn't put money on this but I think phoenix is right, I think the coasters did love potion #9 BEFORE the searchers.

I researched it and Phoenix was correct. Regardless, The Searchers are the one hit wonders with the song.

Correction on The Searchers not only did they have a hit with 'Love Potion #9' but they also had hits with 'Needles and Pins' and 'Don't throw your love away' . So they are not a 1 hit wonders.

But how about 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' by Bob and Doug Mckenzie, it's still making me laugh every time I listen to it at Christmas time.

Love Potion #9 - by the Searchers
Sorry, Phoenix; I just happened to know it wasn't the Coasters.
Actually, The Searchers were just covering the original, vastly superior version by The Clovers.

Just so everyone knows, yes indeedy, Vanilla Ice is still recording, in a more hardcore style, and no, I don't think it gets much airplay.

I dunno D'art...as much as I really hate to admit it, that Eminem kid seems like he actually may have a bit of talent for his genre

We can wish that Eminem retires from music to produce though...
