I'm not sure what happened.

Was it sort of floating through the tube?

Yeh, it kind of "floated" down the tube instead of just falling at normal speed. The movement of the magnet through the tube causes an electric field which resists the movement of the magnet, slowing it down. Pretty neat Smile

The only reason I remembered the laws from long-ago physics classes is that I fell in love with a piece of furniture (bed or table, as you wish) that floats in the air >

Pretty neat. And only $1.5million. Might not be good if you have a pacemaker though (or anything with iron in it).

Beauty first, practicality follows - that IS the entire tale of Western Civilization, Rosborne Smile "Form follows function" is the feedback loop, in case you wondered, but the converse also seems true, making BOTH statements blindingly obvious and logically consistent, QED.
