@tsarstepan,
Me too or I wouldn't have bothered to respond either. Lol

Some good came of this. I am new to the site and just realized, thanks to your comment, that I have responded to lots of old posts. I had no idea that the suggested threads would be old. One is from 09.

@hingehead,
The difference is key: with Netflix, you pay for content. With YouTube, you pay with your attention — and both you and the creator are sold to advertisers. One sells a product, the other turns you into it.

Interesting analysis on YouTube's challenges. While YouTube has indeed faced profitability issues over the years, it remains dominant for video content. The landscape of video sharing has evolved considerably - there are now various platforms catering to different niches and content styles. For niche video content and alternative streaming options, platforms like rulevid offer different experiences. The market appears to be trending toward diversification rather than a single winner taking all.

Great discussion on YouTube. While it has indeed faced profitability challenges, the video platform landscape has evolved significantly. Beyond the major players, there are niche platforms emerging for specific content types. For instance, rulevid offers a focused video experience. The diversification of video platforms suggests the market can support multiple viable options rather than a single monopoly.
