@Ticomaya,
makers mark is pretty damn good, almost as good as George Dickel, or Rebel Yell.

@dyslexia,
Opinion on Knob Creek bourbon? I've tried it, but a long time ago and don't remember. (I like Makers Mark too. Remember liking George Dickel.)

On scotches, off the top of my head, MacAllan, Laphroig, lots of others. They tend to be expensive. There was recently a not bad single malt at Trader Joes for relatively low money, but I forget the name of it.

Trying to remember an Irish that I liked - Powers Three Swallows was the name, I think. Agree that Jameson's can be tasty.

A lot of booze I used to not mind seems too sweet to me now, not naming names.

I've no opinion at all on gins and vodkas, rums or tequilas. Fbaezer had a good post here on a2k, probably years ago now, re tequilas.

On other spirits, I like a good Calvados, which I've learned only recently is pronounced Cal-va-dos - but I mean very good, thus a lot of money.
