No, no, no. Ginseng is very picky. Grow it under sugar maple, northern exposure and it prefers a steep, damp grade.

penn stae has recc using pawlonia to start ginseng.In Iowa they grow it undr shade mats. Ive got the right soil and exposure.Im set.

FM have a look at moringa or drumstick tree as a possible alternative or adjunct to Pawlonia.
Its a bit frost tender so may not suit your climate.

we have a frost date of mid October to early April with winter time temps reaching zero (F)

We have that here effemm. It was minus 17 recently somewhere.

You haven't answered the question yet about how you square up your evolutionary principles with feeding robins and pollarding trees. Unless you do it is going to look as if your evolutionary principles are nothing but an excuse to make a quasi-scientific noise and insult 85% of the population.
