is an international event. It's easy. Random acts of kindness can be large or small, local or far-reaching. They can even be acts toward yourself. Please consider joining folks around the world by performing a simple random kind act sometime during each day.

@JPB,
Why just for one week? I try to make it a part of my lifestyle. (I also practice senseless acts of generosity. Smile)

@Merry Andrew,
Me too, MA. But I like the opportunity to bring it to the forefront.

Is it okay if I practice senseless acts of kindness and random acts of generosity instead?

@JPB,
Somebody in a car asked me for directions yesterday. I told them the correct directions, breaking my habit of just making them up. Now I feel so exhausted. I can't wait for RAK week to be over so I can go back to my grumpy, misanthropic ways.

@Thomas,
Excellent! Well done, Thomas. See -- we may yet save you from becoming a complete curmudgeon.

@JPB,
Thanks - I try to be kind (sometimes is difficult).

Could I have a carryover from last week. I was leaving my condo complex and saw this woman walking - it was damn cold when of those below zero with wind chill. We have a shuttle service that will bring you to the subway station about a mile away. I pulled over and offered a ride rather than wait for the shuttle in the freezing cold. She said I could drop her off at the corner (as otherwise you need to drive into the crowded drop off area) so I ignored her and dropped her off as close as I could get. Poor thing it was freezing out.

I do try to help out whenever I see some one struggling or some one that just needs help in some small way.

I even paid for my daughter to adopt a manatee the other day - does helping a manatee count?
