I wish it would be so but I have more grim look on humanity. Just look at our history. All the wars, politics, ideologies, relogions are effected by lust for money, power or sex.

I think a major motivating factor for some people is that they want their children and grandchildren to have a better life. Money might be a part of this, but I think John Adams expressed it best:
