i have across amazon mechanical turk work on 31st jan 2009, i have been doing this work , and i became favourite for such kind of work and expertise in it. But i want to earn more in it. But in mturk their pay only 0.03 to 6 dollars for 8 hours. can anyone suggest whether i should proceed with mturk or should change the work or not.

As far as I can tell, there are only a few areas (transcription is one, translation and some of the article writing are another) that can pay enough to actually live off of. For the most part it seems people do it for fun in their spare time.

There are other websites with more substantial work available, such as elance, rentacoder etc.

What type of work are you doing for the $115/week? Is it programming, or writing, or something else?
