What song sums up he/she for you?

This is for songs dedicated to spouses, partners, or fantasies for the single folk. This one is a bit silly, but it always reminds me of Mrs. cav:

Short Skirt, Long Jacket
Cake

I want a girl
With a mind like a diamond
I want a girl
Who knows what's best

I want a girl
With shoes that cut
And eyes that burn
Like cigarettes

I want a girl
With the right allocations
Who's fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack

She's playing with her jewelry
She's putting up her hair
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack

I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnng jacket......

I want a girl
Who gets up early
I want a girl
Who stays up late

I want a girl
With uninterupted prosperity
Who uses a machete
To cut through red tape

With fingernails
That shine like justice
And a voice that is dark
Like tinted glass

She is fast and thorough
And sharp as a tack
She's touring the facility
And picking up slack

I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnnng.... lonnng jacket

(Instrumental break)

I want a girl
With a smooth liquidation
I want a girl
With good dividends

And at the city bank
We will meet accidentally
We'll start to talk
When she borrows my pen

She wants a car
With a cupholder arm rest
She wants a car
That will get her there

She's changing her name
From Kitty to Karen
She's trading her MG
For a white Chrysler LeBaron

I want a girl with a short skirt and a lonnnnggggggggg jacket

Dimming of the day
(Richard Thompson)

This old house is falling down around my ears
I'm drowning in a river of my tears
When all my will is gone you hold me sway
I need you at the dimming of the day

You pulled me like the moon
pulls on the tide
You know just where I keep my better side

What days have come to keep us far apart
A broken promise or a broken heart
Now all the bonny birds have wheeled away
I need you at the dimming of the day

Come the night you're only what I want
Come the night you could be my confidant

I see you the street and in company
Why don't you come and rest your mind with me
I'm living for the night we steal away
I need you at the dimming of the day
I need you at the dimming of the day...

One of our favorites...never gets old!

YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR HAT ON
(Randy Newman)

Baby take off your coat...(real slow)
Baby take off your shoes...(here I'll take your shoes)
Baby take off your dress
Yes. Yes. Yes.
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on
You can leave your hat on

Go on over there and turn on the light...no, all the lights
Now come back here and stand on this chair...that's right
Raise your arms up in to the air...shake 'em
You give me a reason to live
You give me a reason to live
You give me a reason to live

Suspicious minds are talking
Trying to tear us apart
They say that my love is wrong
They don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
They don't know what love is
I know what love is

Aaah, Cav, everybody's got a special song or two or three, haven't they? I've got a million of them, but I'll sum mine up in two parts:

Part 1:

I took one look at you
That's all I meant to do
And then my heart stood still.

My feet could step and walk
My lips coud move and talk
And yet my heart stood still.

Though not a single word was spoken
I could tell you knew
That unfelt clasp of hands
Told me so well you knew
I never lived at all
Until the thrill of that moment
When my heart stood still.

Part 11

You keep coming back like a song
A song that keeps saying "remember"
A sweet used to be that was once you and me
Keeps coming back like an old melody.

The perfume of roses in June
Returns to my room in December
From out of the past where forgotten things belong
You Keep coming back like a song.

It is not a good idea to get turned on at 1100 in the morning

Magnet and Steel
Ooh ooh ah
Now I told you so you ought to know
Ooh it takes some time for a feelin' to grow
Ooh you're so close now I can't let you go
Ooh and I can't let go
For you are a magnet and I am steel

I can't hope that I'll hold you for long
Ooh you're a man who's lost to your song
Ooh but the love that I feel is so strong
Ooh and it can't be wrong

With you I'm not shy to show the way I feel
With you I might try my secrets to reveal
For you are a magnet and I am steel
For you are a magnet and I am steel

Harvest Moon
Neil Young

Come a little bit closer
Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away.

But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancin' in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon.

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart.

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye.

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon.

i will never bother you
i will never promise to
i will never follow you
i will never bother you

never speak a word again
i will crawl away for good
i will move away from here
you won't be afraid of fear

no thought was put into this
i always knew it would come to this
things have never been so swell
i have never failed to fail

pain x3
you know you're right x5

i'm so warm and calm inside
i no longer have to hide
let's talk about someone else
steaming soup against her mouth
nothing really bothers her
she just wants to love herself

i will move away from here
you won't be afraid of fear
no thought was put into this
i always knew it would come like this

things have never been so swell
i have never failed to fail

pain x 5
you know you're right x12
