Every year, a few trucks, cars, people, snowmobiles, go through the ice.

I love ice fishing. Here in the "Banana belt" we need to watch the ice very carefully. Last year was not a great ice year and we had a few idiots send their pickups into the lake . We take a canvas blind and a small heater stove out on the ice and we wear ice shoes on the irst coupla times till we have a sustained freeze.

Great time for perch and crappies.

@farmerman,
Hello farmerman.
I use to go ice fishing too. Nothing like filleting, and eating fresh crappie and perch. I've been known to take some eggs, Drakes batteri, with me.
