@edgarblythe,
The Fugs have had new interest about them, ever since the Coehns used CIA man for the closing number in "Burn after Reading" , which was another great Coehn movie. Lots of people getting killed for totally stupid reasons.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EDGAR

@farmerman,
Okay. My version is the original. I know for sure, because I stll have the albums. My brother and I went to one of their hole in the wall concerts, in 1968. During Kill For Peace,Tuli, dressed in khakis, bayonetted and burned a doll, then crammed a hershey bar in its mouth. My bro said he felt Tuli was staring into his eyes the whole time. Maybe so. He wasn't looking at me.

@edgarblythe,
In my day , I would get detention if I ever revealed that I oned any Fugs albums. I inherited mine from my cousin who went into the service in 1968.

They were waaay ahead of their time. Even Zappa paid homage to the Fugs

I was very careful what I listened to in my mother's home. A couple of times, I forgot and she heard Lennon's Working Class Hero and another song or two.

In other news it shall be mentioned in noting that Tuli Kupferberg had a health issue in a few months ago. I had the pleasure of meeting him over at the same rehabilative place I got thrown in. To staffing there Norman he was and a more pleasant man you could rarely find even though his sight had been damaged and he needed a battery on a hearing aid.

We were in the lime one day after therapy waiting for the elevator to get back to the 5th floor where we were although not in the same room. We got to talking and he introde himself as Norman but that people called him Tuli. He then mentioned the Fugs and it all hit me. The elevators were slow to an infuriating degree but that gave him time to talk since most people in that place didn't talk too much and it would get painful boring.

I wasn't a big follower of the Fugs so I could not say much on his work and in good fairability he did n't speak on that alot talking more on other thins. And he needed a haircut more than I did. He wore a hat one of those like a knit hat the ski hat kind he wore that most of the time. I dont remember what those hats are called.

He came there after I did and left before. His sight was not the worst as I remembered. The therapist was teaching walking him down the hall and said to follow the red lines at which he replied that they were orange which what was what they were. Me and some one else who I do not remember who laughed on that since the therapist got it wrong.

Hw long has that coloring chart been here? I like it.

Any way he is nice man and I hope to he is getting better.

I'm am rambling so I will go look at other posts.

Sadly, co-founder Tuli Kupferberg suffered a stroke in April of 2009 at his home in New York City. It left him severely visually impaired, and in need of regular nursing care. Up until that time, the 85-year old Tuli continued to perform. After treatment for several days at a hospital in New York, followed by convalescence at a nursing home, Tuli was allowed to go home, where he is continuing to write songs.
