I saw a commercial about a phone or an mp3 - I dunno - but what intrigued me was what they were saying...

having your own soundtrack.

So what's your soundtrack? If you were a movie - what would be playing in the background.

I'm going to have to think about it a bit.

Okay I know this is completely corny but I was out walking the dog the other day and I was in a really good mood and this song came on the iPod and it just made me feel happy so I have adopted it as my unofficial "song": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-h7Z3ANvFQ

It's just such a happy, fun, bouncy song and I like what it says too.

Thanks mismi. It's pretty monumental for me to have such a response to something so light and bright. I think it says a lot about "where I am" right now.

That's a tough one. I kinda see it as the actual music you loved during the different phases of your life. But in that same mode, my ipod contains only my absolute favorite tunes of all time and I call it WEOE.

My soundtrack would mostly be Beethoven, Beatles, Pearl Jam, Dylan, Infected Mushroom, Vivaldi, Stan Getz and Thelonius Monk. I've been using last.fm to track what I listen to, you can play the artists I've listened to in the last few days, see what I'm listening to now, or see what I listened to the most in these last.fm widgets:

Robert has a very healthy eclectical musical taste, knows some great Brazilian performers, from bossa-nova to rap.

And the last.fm site is great! (listening now to Donovan ... 1968 soundtrack of my life... moved automatically to Steeleye Span, 1975 soundtrack of my life)
