well, they give you this number in each section and if it's over a certain number that means you did good
if you got over 2,000 total - pretty good
in ny - you have to get over 500 in each section - if I remember correctly
but the good part is if you do really well in English, say - but suck in math and fail math - then you don't have to take the whole thing over - you just have to retake the section you failed.
Or at least that's the way it works in NY.
They also give you something called the pre-GED so you can sit a test and get an idea of how you might do when you take it - and then if you detect an area of weakness you can study in that area extra hard.
But all of this depends on what state you live in...each state may be slightly different. Google GED scores explained- that's what I did to help me refresh my memory.
