Only need three more clues to finish the cryptic
23a Began to notice disturbing need folllowing brief surgery- I have o?e ?ed
19d Witnessess circle article on fumes- I have se?t??s
5d It's right to help eith bombing mission-I have r?i?
I have to say I don't like the new format much,don't think it is very user friendly.
I have had to re-register as there was no way I could remember a password that I used once 5 years ago. Guess it pays to write things down.
I used to be Tuesday but am now jacaranda.
Happy puzzling

@lmur,
Thank you Imur, couldn't seem to get my head around the clue but you answers are what I thought they could be. Thanks for confirming.

@jacaranda,
You're welcome. Just to clarify the reasoning:

23a brief surgery = "OP" plus anagram of "NEED"
19d article (THE) surrounded by withnesses (SEES).
5d It's right (R) to help (AID) with bombing mission.

@jacaranda,
Hi Jacaranda/Tuesday,

I was in exactly the same position as you. I was previously canoe3154, but am now shirlz. I too find the new format not as "user friendly" I am a grandmother so didn't grow up with computers and find this all a bit daunting. There are so many former users who now seem to be missing. I find that sad. What would we do without Dutchy and Imur. Bless them both. Glad you are back.

Cheers. shirlz/canoe

@Dutchy,
Hi Dutchy,
Where are you off to? Is it a holiday? If so, enjoy yourselves. I know you will. Did you watch the AFL grand final today? See you on your return.

@Dogz,
Hi Dogz.
Certainly watched the Hawks beat the Cats. Picked the winner and the Norm Smith Medal winner so picked up a few dollard from the TAB.

Off to Port Lincoln for a spot of fishing, have run out of seafood, so my fridge needs restocking. LOL

Will be home by Thursday. Ciao.

@Dutchy,
Thanks Imur for your explanations, you are obviously a lot better at the cryptics than me.
Thanks also for your comments Shirlz, I am a great grandmother and I had to use computors when I came to Canberra in 1990, I thought they might blow up when I touched them. I now have a grandson who is a whiz on computors so he helps me. I have learnt a bit about this site this weekend so thanks everyone.
Regards jacaranda
