Stuck on 144 across "orange liqueur" have got ?u?a?a? also 188 across "jellies have got ?e?s Anybody help??

@evilc,
144a is CURACAO, a liqeur flavoured with orange peel, and I am not up to 188a yet, but I would guess GELS. Somebody else will let us know if that is correct or not. Good luck.
