@panzade,
The tortoise, probably a male, is mistaking the ball for another male tortoise.

@panzade,
This would make for a great animated odd-couple style cop buddy movie.

The Owl and the Pecker, coming out to theaters, March 2018!

@panzade,
That's an interesting photo. I believe it's a screech owl and a red-bellied woodpecker.

@coluber2001,
Yes. I have several that eat at my suet feeder.
The male pecks at my gutter which brings the female to eat. Then a pair of Cardinals scoop up the seeds on the ground.

Wish I had a picture but can only describe. Offered to drive my gimpy daughter to school this morning. Now I know we have a fox in the area as I've seen him around. But as we were driving to school I saw out of the corner of my eye something running into the street. I stopped to avoid hitting it... a squirrel quickly ran in front of us and into the yard and right behind it it the fox.

The squirrel to my dsughter's relief got away whole he fox stated at us as of we were he cause of him missing his breakfadt.

Beautiful creature he was.

@Linkat,
You remind me of hiking with Mrs Hinge in the backblocks of the Dordogne. We turn a corner and there's a fox promenading up the wide trail toward us, oblivious to our presence and clearly not used to humans being on his patch.

When he did notice us we got that same look.

Lucky! I relish seeing the rare wildlife observations I encounter here but lament that my phone's camera doesn't really do any justice to early morning/late night low-light situations.

Missed a shot of a wandering cutie raccoon several months ago.

But, wow! Fox sightings? That's cool. Very Happy
