A leopard and impala nuzzle each other in Kruger National Park in South Africa. Most impalas run for their lives at the sight of a leopard - but this plucky youngster seems determined to befriend one. The bizarre interaction filmed in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, sees the baby animal nuzzling the killer cat's nose and mouth as it lazes in a clearing. And even when the leopard starts playing a little rough, the newborn makes no attempt to leave - and even follows it around. The encounter was filmed by game ranger Estiaan Houy.

Remarkable photo of the moment a female Cardinal fish transfers her 90 odd eggs to the male's mouth where they will incubate for 3 months

A grey whale catches a helpless pelican inside its mouth - only to open it up again to let it fly free. The giant grey whale, which can grow up to 49ft long, had its mouth open when a clueless pelican flew into it while feeding at Port San Luis, near Avila Beach, California.

A terrified baby hippo runs screaming for its mother after a a flock of red and yellow ox-pecker birds land on its back. The hippo was seen screaming, running and twisting from side to side in a desperate bid to shake off the flock, which usually have a mutually beneficial relationship where the birds help free hippos of ticks and other parasites by feeding on them.

Meet Roo the wonderdog that gets mistaken for a kangaroo. However, this isn't the Australian outback, it's Morpeth in Northumberland, U.K. where Roo is being cared for after being rescued by British animal charity Safe Rescue For Dogs. She was saved from certain death on the streets of Romania where she is thought to have been born with one front leg missing and suffered the loss of the other. By the time she was rescued she had already learned to hop and bounce leading charity bosses to nickname her Roo.
