This is Bekily, a ring tail lemur at ZSL London Zoo. While one of his keepers was in the
exhibit during feeding time, Bekily snatched his camera and decided to strike a pose.
This ring-tailed lemur didn't want to miss out on the selfie craze – so he snatched
his keeper's camera and took his own.
Bekily, 12, was watching Tegan McPhail photograph animals at London Zoo at
feeding time.
Perhaps inspired by Bradley Cooper's mega-selfie with fellow stars at the Oscars
he decided he wanted to pose for one himself.
Ms McPhail said: "We're always taking quick pics of the animals we look after
because with workmates this cute it's hard to resist.
"As I was snapping away he grabbed the camera lens and pulled it towards his
own face. It took him a few attempts but he got a great profile pic in the end.
"I doubt we'll be entering his pics into photography competitions any time soon
but I think he did a pretty good job!"
I'm a sucker for baby squirrels.
When I was young I saved one from a feral cat.
Alas, when it was a year old it drowned in our toilet.

This is Panchita, a Galapagos sea lion. Panchita was caught up in a net, which left
deep cuts all over her body. She managed to make it to this hotel where animal
advocates nursed her back to health for 3 months.
Panchita, now pregnant and expecting her baby sea lion any day, goes out to sea
every day and then returns to the hotel to rest.
